Let It Be — The Beatles lyrics

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree

There will be an answer, let it be

For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see

There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be, be

And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me

Shinin’ until tomorrow, let it be

I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Have You Ever Seen The Rain — Creedance Clearwater Revival

Someone told me long ago

There’s a calm before the storm

I know, it’s been comin’ for some time

When it’s over, so they say

It’ll rain a sunny day

I know, shinin’ down like water

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain?

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain

Comin’ down a sunny day?

Yesterday and days before

Sun is cold and rain is hard

I know, been that way for all my time

‘Til forever, on it goes

Through the circle, fast and slow

I know it can’t stop, I wonder

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain?

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain

Comin’ down a sunny day?

Yeah

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain?

I wanna know

Have you ever seen the rain

Comin’ down a sunny day?

…

Hello hello hello and welcome

I am Peppy Doggett Class of 1968

Before I speak I would like to say a few words. Please join me in a big shout out for the organizers of this event.

You heroes please raise your hands so we can come around and thank you personally.

A little background first. You probably already know that this reunion is not an ISB Network Alumni Association sponsored event . We do not wish to replace but to supplement the usual ISBN scheduled events. We want a special event focused our own unique decade of ISB experiences. We have organized this event with their encouragement and best wishes

We hope you are finding our choices of venue, accommodations and events to your liking.

Our main aim is to have a relaxed time reuning with great friends from years ago swapping stories about shared experiences and catching up on our life events since then.

There are a lot of cozy places around the hotel to gather in groups large and small.  And many thanks to the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk and their amazing staff and events department for everything they have done to make this event so special for us.

We have a number of events planned for the next few days. Please consult the specially made website BarbosTheBand.org for the schedule of events, and for links to a support ing information regarding music, shows, photos videos and other fun stuff.

Later this evening I myself along with Mike Dinning will be strumming our guitars while listening to you all sing favorite songs from the sixties, lyrics for which you can link to from the website.

The Times They Are A Changing — Bob Dylan

Come gather ’round people

Wherever you roam

And admit that the waters

Around you have grown

And accept it that soon

You’ll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you is worth savin’

And you better start swimmin’

Or you’ll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin’

Come writers and critics

Who prophesize with your pen

And keep your eyes wide

The chance won’t come again

And don’t speak too soon

For the wheel’s still in spin

And there’s no tellin’ who

That it’s namin’

For the loser now

Will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin’

Come senators, congressmen

Please heed the call

Don’t stand in the doorway

Don’t block up the hall

For he that gets hurt

Will be he who has stalled

The battle outside ragin’

Will soon shake your windows

And rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin’

Come mothers and fathers

Throughout the land

And don’t criticize

What you can’t understand

Your sons and your daughters

Are beyond your command

Your old road is rapidly agin’

Please get out of the new one

If you can’t lend your hand

For the times they are a-changin’

The line it is drawn

The curse it is cast

The slow one now

Will later be fast

As the present now

Will later be past

The order is rapidly fadin’

And the first one now

Will later be last

For the times they are a-changin’

Summertime — The Kinks

The tax man’s taken all my dough

And left me in my stately home

Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon

And I can’t sail my yacht

He’s taken everything I got

All I’ve got’s this sunny afternoon

Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze

I got a big fat mama tryna break me

And I love to live so pleasantly

Live this life of luxury

Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon

In the summertime

In the summertime

In the summertime

My girlfriend’s run off with my car

And gone back to her ma and pa

Tellin’ tales of drunkenness and cruelty

Now I’m sittin’ here

Sippin’ at my ice cold beer

Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon

Help me, help me, help me sail away

Well, give me two good reasons why I oughta stay

‘Cause I love to live so pleasantly

Live this life of luxury

Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon

In the summertime

In the summertime

In the summertime

Oh, save me, save me, save me from this squeeze

I got a big fat mama tryna break me

And I love to live so pleasantly

Live this life of luxury

Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon

In the summertime

In the summertime

In the summertime

In the summertime

In the summertime
